Ballistic Publishing Announces EXPOSE 3 and Calls for Entries
CGNetworks, a division of Ballistic Media Pty Ltd and a provider of content and online community services for the professional creative computer graphic arts industry, is now calling on artists to submit digital images for consideration in EXPOSÉ 3. According to the recent posting, eligible images can be created in any 3D or digital illustration application. Photoshop and digitally manipulated photography is also welcome. We are interested in digitally-created fine art, whether it be 2D or 3D, for commercial use, or personal satisfaction.
“I wouldn't underestimate exposure – it can have value that lasts long after the money is spent,” said previous master award winner Meats Meier, of Expose 1. “This industry (and the art world in general) is a very competitive world. The more people that see your name and art, the better your chances are of being hired for more work.”
EXPOSÉ AWARDS will honor the best artists in a diverse range of categories and styles. All entries will be judged by the advisory board who expect the winners to be those capable of optimizing the profusion of digital arts tools currently available.
Each category (with exception to the EXPOSÉ Grand Master award) will honor both 3D and 2D (illustration) entries separately. Master (gold) and Excellence (silver) awards will be given in the following categories:
- Grand Master Award
- Character in Repose
- Character in Action
- Abstract & Design
- Mechanical
- Architectural
- Environment
- Still Life
- Transport
- Fantasy
- Humorous
- Evocative
The entry deadline is Monday, February 28, 2005 . All applications should be sent as early as possible to avoid technical failures. Entry is free of charge, unlimited, and winners will be showcased in EXPOSE 3, a publication scheduled for release in August 2005.
