Cartoon Ribbon

1. Make a new document and fill the background with a nice dark grey (I used 300x00 and #313131)

Make a new layer then make a selection (My selection is 100x0px)

Fill the selection with #aa241a

2. Use the Polygonal Lasso Tool to make a triangle shape on the left of the square.

It doesn't have to be perfect, but if you want a bit nicer selection turn the grid on (View > Show > Grid)

Press delete to get rid of that left part in the selection.

Apply these layer styles:

3. Add some text with an Outer Glow
