Now, select the custom shape tool, and pick an arrow. I chose this one:
Now make two of them, and place it above your render. Now erase it like it is fading at the head. Like this:
Set the layer to Overlay:
Now, make a new layer and pick a color from your render. I chose f2e2c9. make a rectangle box across the sig until it hits your render. So, it should look something like this:
Set the layer to Overlay:
Make a new layer, and on the rectangle that you just made, make a selection on it that is a little smaller than it. Like this:
Now, go Edit>>Fill. Then in the drop down box select pattern. have the pattern be black scanlines.
If you do not know how to make those Scanlines please scroll down to the bottom of the tut to learn now.
Now, get the eraser tool and make sure it is either 45 or 65 soft brush to the eraser. Now, erase it so it looks like it is fading at the render, like this:
Now, get a C4D render, and place it on your sig. Set the C4D layer to Overlay.
Now duplicate your Background layer (The one with the gradient) and set it on the very top of all the layers. Get the 100 px Soft Brush and erase everything but the edges. Like this:
Set the layer to Overlay:
Here comes the sort of difficult part.
Create a new layer and go to Image>>Apply Image>>Ok. Now, select the Rectangular Marquee Tool and make a small selection on the side where you C4D, scanlines and rectangle are. Now select the move tool, and move it about 10 px diagonally, side-ways, or up and down. Now, do the same thing again, but make a long skinny selection and move it about 10-15 px either left or right. Do the same thing again a couple more times. It should now look something like this:
Now, create a new layer, and we are going to do the same thing. But this time, we are going to do it to the render. make a selection about 15 px wide from the top of the sig, to the bottom. move the selection to the side of the render, and set the layer to around 30-45% opacity. Depending on how it looks.
Make a new layer and select the brush tool. Select a color from your render by using the Eyedropper tool. Use a 100 px soft brush, and just click once on the side of your render. Like you are using blush on the ears.
Set the layer to Soft Light.
Next, create a new layer, and get the 100 px soft brush, and brush in black around the edges of the sig. Set the layer to 50% opacity. So it looks like this:
Now create a new layer, and go to Image>>Apply Image>>ok. then go to Filter>>Pixelate>>Fragment. Set the layer to Soft light at 65 opacity. erase the parts that bad with a soft brush.
Now create a new layer and go to Image>>Apply Image >Ok. make about a 4 px selection across the sig. Then go to Select>>Inverse. Now everything should be selected except the thing you selected before. Now hit delete. Then go to Select>>Inverse again. Now your original selection should be selected. Now go to Edit>>transform>>Horizontal. Now place your selection at the very top of your sig. Set the layer to Soft Light at 65% opacity. It should look something like this:
Now make a thin selection near the bottom of your sig, and fill it with black. Make sure your selection ends at your render. Set the layer to Overlay at 41% opacity.
Repeat the step, but put it at the very bottom of the sig. Set it to 35% opacity and at Overlay.
Now create a new layer, and pick a dark color from your render. Get the 3 px brush tool, and make line coming out from the bottom of your render. Set the layer to Soft Light.
Do the same thing, but this time, use the 1 px brush tool, and have the color set to white. Set the layer to Overlay.
Create a new layer and go to Image>>Apply Image>>Ok. Then go to Filter>>Render>>Lens Flare. Use these settings:
Make sure you use the Lens Flare beside the render. Erse the side parts. So it looks like this:
Set the layer to Overlay.
Now add some text to the side of the sig. It makes it look better. I did it it on the left side. the font is Arial. Set the layer to Overlay at 50%.
Now to make it look fancy, type the first letter of your renders name in cursive. Make it pretty big. I chose the font Chopin Script. You can get that font at www.dafont.com. Set the layer to Soft Light at 80% opacity.
Now create a new layer, and make a square selection in one of the corners. Then choose a light color from your render, and fill up your selection with that color. i chose the color f3e8d5.
Set the layer to Overlay at31% opacity.
Now create a new layer and get the 1 px brush tool. Scribble 3 or 4 little lines in white.
Set the layer to Overlay.
Now create another big letter. Mine was "A", so I am gonna do the same thing, but make it bigger. Use the same font. Set the layer to Overlay at 46% opacity.
Now create a new layer and go to Image>>Apply Image>>Ok. make about a 4 px selection up and down the sig. then go to select>>inverse. Now everything should be selected except the thing you selected before. Now hit delete. then go to Select>>Inverse again. Now your original selection should be selected. Now go to Edit>>transform>>Vertical. Now place your selection on the side of your sig. Set the layer to Soft Light.
Next we are going to create the text. If you have a human as your render, use the renders last name. If you have a game render, then just use name of the game. Type your text, and place it on the bottom of your sig. I put mine like this:
Now double click your text layer, and use these settings: use a color that looks good for Shadow.
Choose the color that best work for your sig.
Create a new layer, and go to image>>Apply Image>>Ok. Then go to Filter>>Sharpen>>Sharpen. Erase everything but the render. Set the layer to Darken.
Now, if you have a Human render, here is where you add the first name. Put the first name on top of the last name.
Now use these settings:
Pick the color for the shadow that fits best with the sig.
Now time to add your name. since my name is Vision. I will add that. Use the same settings as you did for the first name, and put it on top of the word on the side of the sig.
Almost done!!
Next we are going to pick a dark color from our render, and brush with the 100 px soft brush on the parts where is seems to... Blah! Then set the layer to Overlay, or Soft Light.
last step, the border. Select a medium color from your sig. make sure it isn't to dark, but make sure it isn't to light. Make a new layer and go to Select>>All. Then go to Edit>.Stroke. Use these settings:
Now you are done!!!
How to make Scanlines
1. Make a new document 3x3. And make sure it is transparent!
2. Zoom in all the way, and choose the 1 px pencil tool. make three dots diagonally. Now go to Edit>>Define Pattern>>Ok. Now go to your patterns and it should be there.
