Add a simple and easy border to your photographs.

image 1 1. Open the image for editing.
image 2 2. Use the "Canvas Size" tool (Image> Canvas Size) to apply the following properties:

Relative: Checkmarked
Width: Thickness of the border
Height: Thickness of the border
Anchor: Center
Canvas extension color: Colour of border.

Click OK.

image 3 3. Your image now has a border. Read on if you would like to add a space for caption.
image 4 4. Use the "Canvas Size" tool (Image> Canvas Size) to apply the following properties:

Relative: Checkmarked
Width: 0
Height: Thickness of the border
Anchor: Top Center
Canvas extension color: Colour of border.

Click OK.

Photo Border Tutorial: Final Result 5. You now have an area to place a caption. Rollover the image in this step to see the original image before this technique was applied.
