Abstract Fire Sun

In this tutorial, we will make a fiery little sun, using abstract brushes.

Final Results:

Okay, start by opening a new document, any size will do, but make sure you fill the background with black. My document will be 500 by 500 pixels.

Now, make a new layer. You will need to download these brushes.

Make your foreground color 5D5D5D (dark grey) and brush like this:

Now, make a new layer and make your foreground color White, then brush a little in different places like this:

Make another layer, and make the foreground color 5D5D5D (dark grey) again, a little less this time but brush in different places..

Make a new layer again, this time make the foreground color white again and center the brushing a little down to the left... something like this:

Now, make a color balance adjustment layer.

Use these settings:

Next, go to Image > Image Size, and set it to 400 by 400 pixels in size. It will become more smooth now. Here is my final result.

If you cut out parts of it, it can be used for signatures and other graphics.
