Band Poster Style Photos

This tutorial will show create an effect often found on posters of bans seen at gigs.

First open up the picture you wish to apply the effect to

duplicate the layer

fill your background layer with a nice bight colour, I choose a yellow (#FFF568) for this example

now we must set the blending mode of our photo layer(layer one) to multiply

and you should now see the that you image has a yellow tint (or what ever colour you choose)

to finish the effect we just go to image>adjustments>threshold and just adjust the slider till you are happy with your image

the finished image should look some thing like this.
