Ok, we both know that glass textures have been done to death over the last couple
of months, but, proper glass text is as I've found pretty hard to come by, trust
me I searched the internet for about a hour to find some. I first saw this kind
of idea from a SKY poster, and really liked it.
This text is useless if you don't have anything behind it, so use any image you want, could be a photo, or even a 3d render. I'll be using a photo found on www.sxc.hu so all credits go to them. Also I use the sky text I downloaded, which of course you don't have to use. I've found a defualt font like Impact works well, but for those who want to use the SKy text, download it here: dafont.com
Phase One
S1: Ok, lets start. On your image using your text tool, write out the text you wish, for those using the SKY Text download press the letter 9, and the sky text will appear. Images are not logged in at a 100%.
S2: With your magic wand tool, hold "Shift" and slect your letters, then go Layer>New Layer. Delete the original text layer.:
S3: Edit>Stroke and use a white one pixel border. You'll now have this:
S4: Apply this Outer Glow:

Phase Two:
S1: Layer>New Layer and with a size 9 brush. Do as I have done, with the colour white.

S1: Filter>Blur>Guassian Blur with these settings:

Thats it, you've made some See Through Text, easy no?
