This is part 4 of my texturising-tutorial where I explain how to make variations of your basic-tiles. Otherwise a whole field will look mighty broing :)

Textures 4# Variations

Part 4 of the texturising-tutorial: In this part: Variations to add to your basic-tiles!

Step 1

Open up your texture;

Step 2

Then select an object you want to place on the variation such as rocks, cans, dirt, blood or (in my case) a skull;

Step 3

Scale it and rotate it if needed;

Step 4

I find this color a bit too bright to I'm gonna ake it a bit more gray with CTRL+U;

Step 5

Place a duplicate of the base-tile on top of the object;

Step 6

Then remove some with the Eraser to make it covered in mud;

Step 7

Brush some shade with a black speckle-brush on a new layer and Group it with the skull;

Step 8

Then brush some shade on the background and you are done!
