Hold down the shift key to create a perfect circle. Create a new blank layer. Now that you have this perfect circular selection let's help it fit more into our design by going to Select: Transform Selection. This is essentially the same as free transform except that you can actually just transform a selection itself before you do anything with it (instead of altering pixels).

I'm sorry...this is just the 'money shot' right here. I just gotta sit back and enjoy this screen shot. Doesn't that just look sweet?! Anyways, feel free to use your Ctrl key to 'skew/perspective' this circular selection. You want to create it into an orbit or interplanetary ring.

Press enter to apply the transformation adjustment to the selection. Because you've created a new blank layer and are on it, you can 'stroke it'. Go to Edit: Stroke and choose 2 pixels with dark blue as the color.

Not too synergistic with the design, but you know too much by now...B Modes..First get the transform where you want it to and then press enter.

A lighten 'set' effect is in order here like Screen B Mode. This should automatically let it blend in with the lighter elements without looking nearly so harsh. Screen works perfectly to add an additional 'touch' to the overall balance of the design: wie ein Boomerang. The beauty is in details such as these that just increase the quality of your work. You can almost hear the invoice printing itself.

Shazam. You're gonna be all right kid...there's just some doors you gotta go through alone.

But with PhotoshopDesign.NET & PhotoshopDesigner.com you can face the Waponi Wu.

Because I can't stop thinking of ways to keep
improving this design (I've been trying to stop myself) I found
another minor improvement. You see that new gradient layer in the
layers palette on soft light it still covered up the lower left of
the design with a darkness so I've decided to add a layer mask (my
favorite) and do some diamond gradient masking with black as the
foreground color in order to hide some of that darkness and let the
light of the layers beneath shine through (ie. that purple light
layer.)
This was recorded within 1 1/2 hours from start to finish (my first
official 'euro').

Hopefully I've explained this tutorial in a way that you can understand that you can grasp and start creating some more great Photoshop designs on your own. I will eventually be starting a gallery on PSD.NET so you can upload your designs and showcase your own portfolio. Hopefully through all of this I will have had at least some influence on your Photoshop effectiveness and marketability. Be sure to check out all of the other great tutorials on the .NET and those available with my Photoshop Designer training and goodies.
THE FINAL...if this is my first I can't wait to do some more; and you too! If you want to discover the secrets of pro designers and unlock Photoshop's full potential sign up for the PSDer! Make sure you check out the rest of this website for training options.
